We are really excited about exhibiting at IBC in Amsterdam (10-14th September) – we will be launching our Capablue Connected managed service. Yet sometimes originality happens to jump out in front of you; leaving you bewildered as to how you have never even seen it before. This was the case when we stumbled upon the small, alcove coffee shop ‘Småland’. Set up by two Swedish sisters, the space is as small as a store cupboard and yet bursting with vibrant energy and, more importantly, great coffee.

In recent years we’ve watched Apple change the mobile phone business by bringing the “app store” strategy mainstream.  Users are able to customise their personal devices through downloadable applications and personalised information streams.  I think a similar change is afoot in the IPTV world.  Samsung is currently leading the charge in this space, offering the Samsung App Store platform on its range of Internet @ TVs.  Leading content providers and services such as YouTube, BBC iPlayer, Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter and others, already have a presence on the platform.
